As the world around us becomes more mobile, it’s imperative to seek enterprise solutions that fall in line with the Digital World. This means opting for apps and software that can be utilized on devices ranging from smartphones to tablets.
A survey conducted by Seismic Software at Dreamforce 2013 in San Francisco, Calif., looked at exactly how professionals are using Salesforce on their tablets. Here are some of the key findings from the final report.
1. More than 70 percent of Salesforce users spend up to five hours on their tablets per day.
This fact supports the argument that more people are replacing items such as desktops and laptops with tablets for business purposes. Tablets give individuals more portability, which is a big plus.
2. About 70 percent of people believe that mobile technology will improve their lives in 2014.
Most people who own devices such as tablets are already seeing how mobile technology can dramatically improve their lives. Everything from sending client emails to managing Salesforce can be done in a matter of seconds. It’s no wonder people see a bright future for 2014!
3. Approximately 18 percent of tablet purchases will be made by enterprises by 2017.
This is a strong indicator that companies continue to turn toward mobile devices for business purposes – it’s not just the average consumer who’s looking for a new tech toy.
