The Salesforce1 World Tour is kicking off in New York City on Jan. 8, and it will continue onward to more than a dozen other locations after the launch. The goal of the tour is to help companies leverage new mobile technologies and next-generation apps.
On Jan. 8, attendees will have an opportunity to see Salesforce chairman and CEO Marc Benioff keynote the event at the New York Hilton Midtown. However, people who won’t be in New York City also have the option of tuning in to Benioff’s speech on the Salesforce website when it happens live at 12:30 p.m. EST.
Some of the cities around the globe that the Salesforce1 World Tour will be visiting include Amsterdam, Tokyo, Toronto, Chicago and Boston.
By 2020, Salesforce predicts that there will be 50 billion connected devices ranging from smartphones to laptops. Salesforce1 is giving more companies a new social, mobile and cloud platform to use to serve their clients efficiently. Multiple APIs and innovative tools also make it easy for users to create and manage apps.
