Industry growth, product innovation main themes in the 2016 vendor landscape report
SAN DIEGO, October 20, 2016 – Seismic, the leading enterprise-grade sales enablement solution, today announced that they are listed as a Representative Vendor included in Gartner’s October 2016 Market Guide for Digital Content Management for Sales. The report provides an overview of the digital content management for sales landscape and representative vendors in the field, what problems they help solve for companies, and what functionalities should be sought when evaluating solutions.
“We feel Gartner’s new Market Guide provides the requisite clarity for enterprises looking to increase sales efficiency and marketing effectiveness by implementing new and innovative technologies, but are unsure as to where to begin their search,” said Doug Winter, co-founder and CEO at Seismic. “We are glad that Seismic has been listed as one of a few vendors out of many to represent this rapidly growing space.”
As defined by Gartner, digital sales content management applications “encompass repositories, authoring tools, collaborative environments and interfaces, for publishing, versioning, and presenting content to help salespeople (both direct and indirect) efficiently and effectively develop and close business.” One requirement to be included in the market guide is that a vendor must offer at least two of the following high-level capabilities: repository management, content development, content delivery, usage analytics and sales process integration.
The report cites Seismic’s LiveDocs® technology, a dynamic content assembly feature which has shown to save customers upwards of 98 percent in time saved creating content.
The market guide is the latest in a recent string of research firm reports to note Seismic as a representative vendor in the sales enablement/content management space. Earlier this month, Seismic was named a leader in Aragon Research’s Globe™ for Sales Engagement Platforms, and both Forbes CMO Practice and SiriusDecisions highlighted Seismic’s leading position in the space in major reports earlier in the year. Seismic was also one of 23 vendors to be included in Forrester Research’s March 2016 Vendor Landscape: Sales Enablement Automation Solutions report.
