Installation instructions

Setup Step 1: Install the Seismic app into a Slack workspace

  1. 1. Log in to the appropriate Slack workspace.
  2. 2. Enter https://api.seismic.com/slack/v1/installSlack into your web browser.
  3. 3. From the Seismic / Slack integration screen, select Install. A message will appear in your web browser indicating that the Seismic Slack application is installed.
  4. 4. Launch Slack.
  5. 5. Navigate to the appropriate Slack workspace.
  6. 6. Select Apps to confirm that the Seismic app has been installed.
  7. 7. Select View next to the Seismic app in the Manage app dialog

Setup Step 2: Link the Slack workspace to a Seismic tenant

  1. 1. Launch and log into Slack.
  2. 2. Type /seismic link [Seismic tenant name] into the Slack message box, and then press Enter.
  3. 3. Select Click here to link [Seismic tenant name].
  4. 4. Type in your Seismic username and password.
  5. 5. Select Login.
