Overview:

Seismic Software is seeking a hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to oversee and execute daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance requirements for our India entity.  Reporting into Corporate Finance, this role requires in depth & hands on knowledge/involvement in all financial and management reporting activities in all transactions not just oversight.

You will collaborate closely with both local and global leadership teams to drive strategic financial planning, management, and operational execution. This role is an individual contributor role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems and controls to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee tax compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to national and local tax laws.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with leadership and other departments to provide financial insights and support business operations.

What you bring to the team:

  • 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior accountant role.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and regions.
  • Prior experience in R&D software technology is a plus.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
