SAN DIEGO (June 13, 2023) – Seismic, the global leader in enablement, today announced its Spring 2023 Release which builds on Seismic’s leadership in AI-guided selling with new capabilities powered by Aura, Seismic’s AI engine. Launched in 2021, Seismic Aura deepens buyer engagement by capturing AI-driven content insights, streamlining the selling process, and helping sales leaders coach and improve their teams.
“Over two years ago, we introduced Seismic Aura, a first-of-its-kind AI/ML engine purpose-built to increase seller effectiveness, generate intelligent insights, and automate tasks. Since then, we’ve remained committed to investing in AI/ML capabilities across the Seismic Enablement CloudTM. Our Spring 2023 Release adds another layer to our larger AI vision in our platform and the broader enablement ecosystem with the launch of our integration with Microsoft Viva Sales,” said Krish Mantripragada, Chief Product Officer, Seismic. “Our customers are already reaping the benefits of Seismic’s investment in generative AI and use of large language models to get recommended answers to customer questions, and our vision is to continue to apply this valuable technology to touch every workflow across our platform.”
New capabilities available to Seismic customers that power better customer experiences include:
- Seismic for Microsoft Viva Sales: Starting this month, Seismic is launching the first set of AI-powered capabilities for Microsoft Viva Sales. Directly within Microsoft Teams meeting summaries, users can receive content and training recommendations powered by Seismic.
- Seismic for Google Slides: Streamline presentation creation and customer personalization efforts by making the Seismic content library of approved materials available for sellers within Google Slides – all without leaving the browser window.
Additional new capabilities that help teams operate more efficiently, track success, and align go-to-market efforts include:
- Intelligent Search Experience: Access content from Library and Workspace based on user behavior, search history, and AI-assisted understanding of intent.
- Enablement Impact Analytics: Measure the impact of enablement programs and initiatives such as product launches, sales plays, and new messaging roll-outs on business outcomes with simple, out-of-the-box embedded analytics and dashboards. Demonstrate the collective impact of training on the sales cycle with rich new analytics and tools that connect learning and coaching activities to win rates.
- Embedded Contextual Insights: Analyze content performance by segment, content types, and content status with contextual, interactive charts and graphs in the flow of work.
- Expanded Lessonly by Seismic Integrations and Flexibility: Personalize skill assessments with custom icons and labels, and integrate learning content from SCORM, xAPI, and cmi5 to enhance the learner experience. Enablement teams can also now support multi-session training events for sequential sessions and teams distributed across time zones.
- Dynamic Watermarking: Mitigate misuse and improve the traceability of documents by adding customized digital watermarks based on the document’s content properties and rule-based templates.
“We needed something that brought all the tools and resources together – and be at the fingertips of our frontline sellers. The Seismic Enablement Cloud empowers our sales team to be more efficient,” said Mark Bussell, Senior Director of Revenue Enablement, Jostens. “Seismic has helped Jostens evolve. It’s been transformational for us, and we’re grateful for Seismic and their team.”
New data shows increased usage of personalization solutions
The Spring 2023 Release includes several new personalization and buyer engagement capabilities that address the need for greater personalization in customer interactions. In fact, a new Seismic report called The Personalization Payoff uncovered data illustrating how organizations are personalizing content and delivery methods when interacting with prospects across digital channels.
The Personalization Payoff analyzed how Seismic customers leveraged the Seismic Enablement Cloud during 2021 and 2022, specifically looking at the usage of certain personalization solutions and how buyers responded to them. The report found that personalization usage skyrocketed – and in tandem, buyer engagement increased as well. Notable findings include:
- Usage of Seismic’s LiveSend capability, which captures engagement data for customer-facing content, increased by 58% year-over-year. During that same period, overall buyer engagement (measured in views) increased by 46%.
- Usage of Digital Sales Rooms (DSRs), which serve as hubs of buyer-seller interaction and personalized communication during a deal, increased by 187% year-over-year.
- Healthcare organizations created the most DSRs, followed closely by Industrial (Manufacturing, Energy and Utilities, Distribution) companies.
- Buyers responded positively to DSRs, engaging with them at nearly 3x higher rates year-over-year.
- Industrial and Healthcare buyers engaged with DSRs at the highest rates, respectively.
- Video continues to grow in popularity for seller-buyer communications. Reps heavily relied on personalized video to engage prospects in 2022 – 255% more than the previous year, to be exact.
- Industrial and Financial Services firms were the top users of video in client communications, respectively.
